Vice President for Relations and Development, Mr. Mohamed Ali Omar is currently participating in a consultative conference on Regional Program on Enhancing the Investment Climate for the Economic Empowerment of Refugee, Returnee, and Host/Return Community in the East, Horn of Africa and Great Lakes Region.

This conference which has brought together various stakeholders, including UNHCR, EAC, IGAD, government officials, academia, private sector representatives, and members of the refugee community, is taking place in Nairobi, Kenya from the 5th to the 8th of February 2024.

Mogadishu University in China

Our Vice President for Relations and Development, Mohamed Ali Omar, attended the Annual Conference of China-Africa Consortium of Universities Exchange Mechanism in Beijing, China. The conference centered on China – Africa higher education cooperation and development in the digital age. The conference brought together university leaders from both China and Africa to promote collaboration in higher education. During this event, the Vice President engaged with prestigious institutions, fostering opportunities for academic and research partnerships that would benefit Our university and its relationships with universities across Africa and China. As part of his efforts to establish fruitful academic collaborations, the Vice President signed a collaborative agreement with Qilu University of Technology. This agreement aims to strengthen academic ties and facilitate exchange programs between the two institutions, furthering the internationalization of Mogadishu University​.

Collaboration Agreement with Sakarya University

During a recent official visit to Sakarya University, Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Mursal, the President of Mogadishu University, led a distinguished delegation that was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Hamza Al, the Rector of Sakarya University, setting the stage for a significant exchange of ideas. Throughout this visit, both institutions engaged in stimulating and fruitful discussions, culminating in the formal signing of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between Mogadishu University and Sakarya University. This milestone agreement reflects a strong commitment to nurturing mutual cooperation and collaboration across various academic pursuits, such as joint research activities, international workshops, and staff exchange programs. The signing of this pivotal agreement marks the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing not only the academic experiences but also the research capabilities of both Mogadishu University and Sakarya University. This collaborative endeavor holds the promise of enriching the academic landscapes of both institutions, fostering a dynamic environment conducive to learning, innovation, and the exchange of knowledge.

Breaking Boundaries: Mogadishu University and WSB Merito University in Poland Join Forces with Collaboration MOU

Mogadishu University and WSB Merito University in Poland have taken a significant leap towards strengthening international cooperation in education and research through the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The comprehensive MOU was signed by Abdiwali Sheikh Mohamed, representing Mogadishu University President, and Dr. hab. Ryszard Sowiński, the Rector of WSB Merito University. This momentous collaboration aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, joint research activities, information sharing, and the development and delivery of joint courses. By harnessing their respective strengths and expertise, both universities are committed to establishing a symbiotic partnership that will have a positive impact on the educational landscape.
